Ana Maria Archila Invited to State of the Union Address

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez invited our 2019 Salem Award Recipient Ana Maria Archila as her guest at the State of the Union Address in recognition of her strength and courage in speaking out on behalf of millions of Americans for human rights and social justice.

Tonight is about hope and optimism. It’s about all of us working together to build the country we deserve, we dream, and the country our communities need. This is possible. We’ve already seen that we can move mountains together because in that house tonight, there will be lots of people who represent our country. Immigrants, like Ana Maria Archila Gualy, refugees who found safety here and workers who are seen and respected by a new wave of leaders who are working tirelessly to counteract the hate that comes from Donald Trump. All of us are working to present a vision of what’s possible tonight and you have a role in this. Are you down? http://bit.ly/peoplessotu19
